Plastic Fantastic

Plastic Fantastic (PF) is a nomadic, immersive environment for play built from 6,000 postconsumer water bottles on a 16-ft diameter geodesic dome. As an organizing structure for social relations, underpinned by concerns about politics of water, PF creates possibility for social change through community development and cultural production.

PF started in 2007 and since 2011 has worked with a host partner to collect the bottles needed to create the dome.  In collaboration, we develop a program for the dome. In 2014 at The Young Women’s Leadership of Queens we integrated puppet making and puppet shows to activate the dome and focus conversations about the environment.
